The Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations  (EPBR regulations) for England & Wales are not in force on the Isle of Man.
However, voluntary certification can be seen as an excellent way to have an objective energy assessment carried out for a building and will come with an energy report.
The energy report will highlight initiatives that may be undertaken which will improve the energy rating and therefore reduce energy bills and greenhouse gas emissions.
Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are for existing & new dwelling houses & commercial properties for sale or rent.
Display Energy Certificates (DECs) are issued for Public Buildings.

The EPBR regulations (England & Wales) also require that inspections of heating & air conditioning installations over a certain size are carried out at certain intervals.
