THE EPSILON 3-STAGE PLAN TO ESOS COMPLIANCE
Epsilon have developed a 3-stage process designed to provide the most efficient route to ESOS compliance. At each stage our auditors will be open, constructive and carry out their work in a professional manner, in this way we believe that we add value to the audit process and ensure maximum clarity for all parties
CLIENT QUESTIONNAIRE
From the information received in the online enquiry form we provide an initial assessment of the cost budget to carry out lead assessor duties or optionally to embed the ISO 50001 Energy Management across your organisation.
CUSTOMER CONSULTATION
A face-to-face consultation will review the way that you have monitored key energy usage to date.The agenda for the consultation may typically include:-
• Walk-through site survey to review the major energy using building services systems and industrial processes.
• Meetings with production/engineering/facilities management to review the sub-metering analysis, the results of any previous energy surveys and the potential for exploiting on-site renewables and co/tri-generation opportunities.
• For multi-site organisations, a meeting to determine whether a sampling approach is appropriate for ESOS compliance.
• Obtain an overview of your organisation’s existing energy management systems and procedures including CCA / CRC / EU ETS reporting.
• Discuss the extent of the energy auditing activity that you may wish to carry out yourselves by utilising in-house expertise.
A detailed proposal including any possible options for ISO implementation shall be submitted at this point for your consideration.
LEAD ASSESSOR DUTIES
Energy auditing activities shall be carried out in accordance with an approved methodology such as BS EN 16247: 2012. The energy audit team will hold review meetings with your ESOS representative to discuss any areas where more information is required. Stage 3 shall conclude with a closing meeting to present you with a summary of the main energy saving recommendations and a final report shall then be prepared and submitted.We trust that our bespoke compliance process is helpful to your organisation, however we are flexible and are happy to adapt the process to meet your specific needs.
